Why families choose us
Community Engagement
A Connected Communities School, community engagement is essential to meet key deliverables aligned with NSW state guiding principles. Through active engagement and welcoming feedback at all levels, we work with local organisations, families and Elders to create meaningful learning experiences and opportunities across all aspects of school operations
Support for every family
Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We co-design plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.
Every child is known and supported to learn
Every child is known and supported to learn every year
From Kindergarten to Year 12, our staff work to support learning, wellbeing and cultural goals for every student, working with them and their families to develop their personalised learning plan. Specialist teachers and our school counselling team can undertake further assessments and referrals to ensure every student can have their needs supported. School Learning and Support staff work to deliver group and individual learning support programs.
Strong Culture, Strong Outcomes
We recognise the ongoing custodians of the lands and waterways of Brewarrina where we learn and live. We pay respects to the Ngemba Elders past and present as ongoing teachers of knowledge, songlines and stories. We strive to ensure that every student achieves their potential though learning.
Culture and language is delivered in our K-8 classes through our partners at REDI. This program is further supported with the important work of NASCA and CLONTARF programs.
"We love our school for its supportive community and commitment to every student’s success. Our child feels safe and inspired every day.” — a parent of Brewarrina Central School
