Principals News!
My name is Shaun Graham and I am the new Executive Principal at Brewarrina Central School. I started in Week 9 Term 3 2022. I would like to thank Mrs Rebecca Williams for leading the school in Term 3 in 2022, as the relieving Executive Principal. I have been out and about in the school during my time and have been able to meet with and share stories with the staff and students. We have a great group of kids attending our school and it is a pleasure to be welcomed into the community.
I have moved into this role for the long term, hopefully, and I am committed to supporting your children through their learning pathway by leading this school alongside the great staff who work here. I truly hope we are able to build strong partnerships and relationships so that your children get the best experience while at BCS.
I little bit of my background:
I was previously the Principal at Singleton Heights Public School for 6 years, with a student population of 530. Prior to that, I was a principal at Pelaw Main PS, in the town of Kurri Kurri for 6 years as well. I have worked in and around the Hunter Valley for over 15 years.
I studied a Bachelor of Teaching/Bachelor of Arts at Newcastle University. I originally enrolled to be a High School PE Teacher and then changed to Primary teaching.
I am committed to ensuring that the children who attend BCS are known, valued and cared for. My goal is to work with the community, the NSW DoE, the AECG and other agencies to support the holistic education of children in Brewarrina and outlying communities, from Kindergarten to the end of Year 12. I truly strive to ensure that the learning pathways are positive and successful for all of our kids. I hope to meet you soon and share a story or two, and to support your children.
